Everyone is going crazy about helping Ukraine. The whole world has given them hundreds of billions of euros, and the war continues unabated. We at helping-the.world are the First Eastern European Charity to collect money for Gaza. The world has forgotten about the people in Gaza. NOT US. Recently in Slovakia, a country with 5 million inhabitants, its citizens raised over 4 million euros in a week for Ukraine in a single public fundraising. So imagine what we can do for Gaza, if we all get togehter.
Our Charity organization Helping The World, running the public fundraising on the website helping-the.world, was created to help those living in war-torn areas. All the money raised will be sent to those in need either through local organizations or directly on a weekly basis. On our website, those who have been affected by war can register directly, and after verifying their situation, we will send them what they need. This ensures that your contributions are used effectively and don’t diminish or get lost administratively on the way to those who need them. If you are a victim of any war conflict, contact us HERE.
On our website, you will find out where your money is going. We clearly state who we are and where we are. Our organisation is registered with Slovak Mniistry of Interior. We fully respect the law on non-profit organizations as well as the law of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No. 162/2014 Coll. on public collections.
During times of war, the most vulnerable suffer the most: women, children, and seniors. While weapons and ammunition may determine the outcome of war, they often bring zero benefit to the most vulnerable. The money we raise will NEVER be used to purchase or support the acquisition of weapons and ammunition in any way. Instead, we send funds to local charities and directly to those who need food, clothes, medications, shelter, help people secure shelter, and assist them in getting as far away from danger as possible.
Gaza has no army, so Israeli bombing has a 100% success rate in hitting targets. Ukrainians have their own army and have already received over a hundred billion euros from around the world. Gaza has received nothing. Its existence is entirely dependent on what people give them through foundraisings and non-profit organizations like ours.
Mass graves, bombed hospitals, thousands of dead civilians, and almost total destruction of infrastructure haunt Gaza since the beginning of the Israeli war.
The Israeli army has killed over 61,000 people in Gaza.
Israel launched its brutal genocide on October 7, 2023, after a deadly Hamas attack during which 240 people were captured in southern Israel and 1,139 were killed by Hamas.
Nearly 85% of Gaza’s 2.3 million inhabitants have been displaced, and over 17,000 children have been killed in the offensive, which critics have called a war of revenge.
Here are a few numbers that point to an unprecedented level of violence used, while Israel insists on launching a ground offensive in Rafah. The southernmost city in Gaza provides refuge for 1.5 million Palestinians, the majority of whom fled from previous phases of the war.
61,000 deaths
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, over 61,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks, with more than 110,000 injured.
Approximately 72% of those killed are women and children, according to updates from the government media office in Gaza.
UN human rights chief Volker Turk said on Monday that “every 10 minutes” a child is killed or injured in Gaza.
10,000 people are missing, according to the government media office, with many presumed dead under the rubble.
“We have seen death on an unprecedented scale,” said Emily Tripp, director of the London-based nonprofit organization Airwars, which monitors civilian casualties during wars.
“We have now identified more incidents in which civilians have been killed in Gaza since October 7 than in eight years of the US and allied campaign against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
“We have documented strikes during which there were killed more than 100 people – and the reports barely make it to international headlines,” said Al Jazeera.
In a report released in late March 2024, Francesca Albanese, the UN’s special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, stated that there is clear evidence that Israel has violated three of the five acts listed in the UN Genocide Convention.
70 % of homes destroyed
Many residential areas throughout Gaza have been mercilessly bombed. According to the Gaza Media Office, Israeli forces dropped over 75,000 tons of explosives on Gaza.
In April, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territory, also known as UNRWA, stated that 62% of all homes in the besieged territory were damaged or destroyed.
According to the Gaza Media Office, nearly 90,000 residential units were destroyed, while almost 300,000 units were damaged by Israeli air and ground offensives.
According to a report by the World Bank and the UN published on April 2, 2024, the cost of damage to critical infrastructure during the first four months of the Israeli war is estimated at $18.5 billion.
Over 1.1 million people face “catastrophic” food shortages
Approximately 1.1 million people – half of Gaza’s pre-war population – are living in catastrophic food insecurity. The global hunger watchdog known as the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) stated in a report published on March 18, 2024.
In northern Gaza, famine is likely to occur by May, and by July 2024, it could spread throughout the enclave, the report adds.
According to the IPC, famine is defined as a state where at least 20 percent of households face extreme food shortages, at least 30 percent of children suffer from acute malnutrition, and at least two adults or four children die per 10,000 people.
The Gaza Media Office stated that at least 30 children have died “due to famine.” It stated that 1.1 million people have been infected with diseases due to displacement.
Furthermore, this war has made the work of humanitarian agencies more difficult.
The UN stated that more than 200 humanitarian workers were killed during the war, the majority of whom were Palestinians.
Destroyed 26 hospitals and hundreds of healthcare workers killed
Israeli forces repeatedly targeted hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including besieging some of its largest medical facilities.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, stated on March 30, 2024, that only 10 out of 36 hospitals in Gaza are “minimally functional.“
Tlaleng Mofokeng, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to health, stated that since October 7, 2023, at least 350 healthcare workers have been killed and 520 injured, adding that these numbers are “grossly underestimated.”
Mofokeng said that the Israeli war in Gaza has been a “war on the right to health” from the beginning and has “erased” the healthcare system in the coastal enclave.
Your contributions will be sent directly to those in need.
Every week, we send 95% of your contributions.
The remaining 5% will be used to promote our organization to reach as many donors as possible.
All money is sent directly to Gaza, to institutions such as hospitals, humanitarian warehouses, evacuation, and rescue centers.
In Gaza, there are hundreds of pregnant women who have nowhere to give birth to their children. We also help them.
“No child should sleep without a mother, without a bed, and without a roof over their head. No child should go to bed hungry, thirsty, and scared. We will do everything in our power to ensure this for as many children as possible. The world is blind and deaf; they have forgotten about Gaza, so we will remind them.”
